Dallas Ft. Worth International Airport officially reported 12 1/2″ of snow yesterday. Although with the temperature, I doubt there was ever more than six or seven inches on the ground at any one time near us. In the twenty-five years I’ve lived here, I can never remember more than a couple of inches at most in any one day prior to yesterday.
It is in the upper 30s today, and it is melting rapidly.
The aftermath will be felt for some time, however, as the photos of our backyard will attest. Sadly, we are no longer quite as secluded from our neighbors by greenery as we were previously.

Dodie,
We are fine. We never lost power, so we consider ourselves lucky. The trees will be cleared, so all will be back to normal soon. Hope you are having a great time in Vail. ~kp~
